CARTHAGE — Village officials have received notice from the state Housing Trust Fund Corp. and Homes and Community Renewal that $400,000 has been awarded for rehabilitation of low-income housing in the villages of Carthage and West Carthage and towns of Wilna and Champion.

The state Community Development Block Grant program is administered through the Carthage Area of Commerce, which can be reached by calling 493-3590.
