Northern Federal Credit Union announced Friday that it plans to open a seventh branch location on Route 11 in front of the Evans Mills Walmart in the town of LeRay in late 2013 or early 2014.

According to Jessica L. Ridsdale, vice president of people development and compliance for Northern Federal, the site is expected to benefit from development in the area, especially with the new the Interstate 781 Fort Drum connector.

The site plan will go before the town of LeRay Planning Board in the next few weeks.

Local contractors will have an opportunity to bid on the project once approval is secured.
