LOWVILLE Village police charged Paul C. Sweeney, 20, of 7651 S. State St., with criminal mischief after he allegedly broke into an apartment.
Police, responding to a complaint of an attempted break-in, said that when officers arrived at the residence, which was not disclosed, they found that Mr. Sweeney had broken a chair that was being used to block the door. He was arrested at 3:45 p.m. Monday.
Mr. Sweeney, arraigned by Judge Patricia H. Yarina in Village Court, was taken to the Lewis County jail on $250 bail.
