MASSENA — A Monday night blaze that destroyed a barn remains under investigation, St. Lawrence County fire investigators said Tuesday.

Massena fire crews were dispatched 5:45 p.m. to 46 Cook St. and were at the scene for nearly two hours, but the barn ultimately was declared a total loss.

The structure, owned by John Mitchell, was insured, Investigator Andrew Barr said.
