State police said a man prompted a search Friday afternoon along routes 3 and 3A at Fargo in the town of Wilna when he ran into the woods after allegedly punching his wife in their car.

Roy Z. Reese, 22, of 25267 Loop Road, Carthage, was apprehended about 90 minutes after the 3 p.m. incident, and was charged with harassment. He was arraigned in Wilna Town Court and was released to the custody of Fort Drum authorities. Police listed no injuries for his wife, Laura, 22, same address.
