FINEVIEW A woman from New Castle, Ontario, was listed in serious condition Friday night at Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, with injuries she suffered at about 12:30 p.m. in a two-vehicle collision on Wellesley Island, just north of the American span of the Thousand Islands Bridge.
State police said the woman, Edwina Owen, 68, was riding in a southbound sedan operated by Donald Owen, 70, New Castle. He lost control on wet pavement and skidded into the path of a northbound pickup driven by Tricia Schoutes, 42, Richmond, Ontario, police said.
Mrs. Owen was flown by helicopter to the Syracuse hospital. State police are continuing the investigation.
