The villages of Adams and Canton were among several communities to receive grant funding from the state Department of Environmental Conservation on Tuesday to be used for urban forestry projects.

Adams will receive $8,351.05, and Canton will receive $7,500. Overall, the department announced 66 grant recipients, totaling $994,878.
