WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. Kevin Cooper and Jeff Winchester each scored a power-play goal and added an assist as the Williamsport Outlaws blanked the Thousand Islands Privateers 3-0 on Tuesday in a Federal Hockey League game at Bowman Field, the teams outdoor rink.
The Outlaws (5-9), who won for the fifth time in their past seven games, scored their first two goals while on the power play on Coopers tally at 16:57 of the second period and Winchesters goal at 6:41 of the third.
Chris Whitley finished with 25 saves to record the shutout for Williamsport, which won its second straight game against Thousand Islands (7-6) to even the season series at 2-2.
Matt Anthony stopped 31 of 34 shots faced for the Privateers.
Thousand Islands returns home and will host Williamsport at 7:35 tonight and Cape Cod at 7:35 on Friday night before playing at Williamsport on Saturday.
