MASSENA - Christopher J. Durand, 34, was charged by state police Friday with possessing a sexual performance of a child and promoting a sexual performance of a child.

The charges were the result of an investigation by the New York State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the New York State Police Computer Crimes Unit.

Mr. Durand was arraigned in Massena Town Court and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility on $50,000 cash bail.

Further charges are expected, according to troopers.
