CANTON - Rachel A. Campbell, 22, of 72 Law Lane, was charged by village police with following too closely and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle following a 3-car accident Wednesday.

The accident occurred at 9:44 a.m. on Riverside Drive. Elizabeth Taylor, 47, stopped at a red light, followed by Amanda Perry, 21. Ms. Campbell was unable to stop and crashed into Ms. Perry’s car, sending it forward into Ms. Taylor’s car, according to police.

Ms. Taylor was taken to Canton Potsdam Hospital with a back injury.

Investigators found that Ms. Campbell was driving with a suspended license.

She is scheduled to appear in Canton Village Court.
