The Americans for Tax Reform is out with an ad that assails Rep. Bill Owens, D-Plattsburgh, on the national debt.

It accuses him of supporting President Obama's policies that have allegedly busted budgets.

Interestingly, Mr. Owens voted for the Budget Control Act, so he's arguably being hit from both sides on that — supporting policies that have increased the debt, and supporting a bill that will reduce it in the wrong way, in the estimation of Republican Matt Doheny.
