Roll Call reports that the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is dropping another $249,000 into the north country's race for the House of Representatives between Rep. Bill Owens and Matt Doheny.

I haven't managed to come across the ad, which will either laud Mr. Owens, D-Plattsburgh, or assail Mr. Doheny, a Republican of Watertown. The ads will play in the Plattsburgh and Albany markets. No love for Watertown in this round.

In an editorial board meeting with the Watertown Daily Times today, Mr. Doheny pointed to the ad purchase as proof that the race was indeed competitive.
