Mr. Owens is planning a few stops, both political and official, in Jefferson and St. Lawrence counties.
Thursday, he will be the keynote speaker at the “Expand Your Business to the U.S.” forum at 12:45 p.m. at the Vino Vidi Vici Restaurant, 160 Harte Haven Plaza, Massena. The event is being put on by several development organizations, including the American Chamber of Commerce of Canada, his office says.
And on Friday, he will travel to Alexandria Bay — Mr. Doheny’s hometown — for a teacher’s union rally. Assemblywoman Addie Russell, D-Theresa, is also expected to attend. The event starts at 5 p.m. at the Alexandria Bay village pavilion.
On Oct. 24, Mr. Doheny will attend the Italian American Civic Association’s meet-the-candidates night, which will take place at 6 p.m. at 192 Bellew Ave. Mr. Owens will not attend.
And on Oct. 29, Mr. Doheny will be joined by Rep. Mac Thornberry, R-Texas, the vice chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, at a noon event at the VFW Barben Jones Post 140, 231 Bellew Ave. RSVPs for that event can be sent to (315) 788-8800 or jeff@doheny4congress.com.
