H/t to Robert Harding at the Auburn Citizen: Former Vice President Al Gore and other notable Democrats will raise money for Rep. Bill Owens, D-Plattsburgh, and other Democrats in New York on Oct. 4.

According to the invitation, which was posted by the Sunlight Foundation, Reps. Steve Israel, D-Long Island, and Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., will join in on the New York City festivities.

Other candidates to benefit from the fundraiser are Dan Maffei, facing Republican Rep. Ann Marie Buerkle; Sean Patrick Maloney, facing Republican Rep. Nan Hayworth; Rep. Tim Bishop, D-Long Island, facing Republican Randy Altschuler; Rep. Louise Slaughter, D-Fairport, facing Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks; Julian Scheribman, facing Rep. Chris Gibson, R-Kinderhook; Rep. Kathy Hochul, facing Chris Collins; and Mark Murphy, facing Rep. Michael Grimm, R-Staten Island.

They've formed a joint fundraising committee called the Battleground NY Victory Fund, according to the invite, which is posted here:
