Alicia Sirk, one of Matt Doheny's first hires for his congressional campaign, has left to become the chairwoman of Karen Bisso's Assembly campaign, she said in an email to friends and colleagues Tuesday night.
She cited "many reasons" for her departure, but didn't go into detail about those reasons.
Ms. Sirk, a Plattsburgh resident, was the volunteer coordinator for the Doheny campaign, and also worked on Mr. Doheny's 2010 effort.
Mr. Doheny is taking on Rep. Bill Owens, D-Plattsburgh, on Nov. 6.
Mrs. Bisso faces Assemblywoman Janet Duprey, R-Peru, and Clinton County resident David Kimmel in a Sept. 13 GOP primary. The winner will face Tim Carpenter in the Nov. 6 general election.
