The following people are charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:
■ Joseph L. Morczeck, 55, Route 26, West Leyden, was charged by Lewis County sheriffs deputies at 12:21 a.m. Saturday after allegedly fleeing the Milk Plant Tavern on Route 26 in West Leyden after patrons reported he had brandished a handgun at the bar. Police said he had been involved in a fight with other customers and they were told a handgun was displayed, although no gun was found in his vehicle. Police allege, however, that his blood alcohol content was found to be 0.16 percent, which is above the states minimum legal level of 0.08 percent to be considered proof of intoxication. He also was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and consumption of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle. He was issued appearance tickets for West Turin Town Court. Police said the investigation into the incident is continuing.
■ Darrel Derbai, 23, of 10434 5th Armored Division Drive, Apt. 223, Fort Drum, was charged by Watertown police with aggravated DWI at 1:34 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of Factory Street. Police allege his BAC was 0.19 percent, which is above the 0.18 percent BAC threshold to warrant an aggravated DWI charge. He also was charged with failure to yield the right of way and having excessive window tint. He is due to answer the charges in City Court.
