A Natural Bridge woman admitted Tuesday in Jefferson County Court that she embezzled about $35,000 from the credit union where she worked.

Mary E. Kjersem, 44, of 42346 County Route 40, pleaded guilty to third-degree grand larceny. She admitted that between Jan. 1, 2011, and Nov. 3 she stole $34,912 from United Neighbors Federal Credit Union, 144 Eastern Blvd., where she was the manager.

She is expected to be sentenced July 24 to five years’ probation and be ordered to pay full restitution.
