Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush will hold a series of forums on a proposed hike in the minimum wage.
The first meeting takes place at 6 p.m. on Thursday at the Gouverneur VFW, 100 W. Main St.
Mr. Blankenbush, R-Black River, has signaled opposition to Speaker Sheldon Silver's effort to increase the state's minimum wage from $7.25 an hour to $8.50 an hour. But Gov. Andrew Cuomo said at recent news conference that he supports a hike "philosophically."
