AGGRAVATED DWI - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Michael L. Cook, 28, of Snye, Que., on the so called side of the transborder St. Regis Mohawk Reservation with aggravated driving while intoxicated, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and an open container violation following a traffic stop at 1:10 p.m. Sunday on Rooseveltown Road. He was also ticketed for failure to keep right and operation of an unregistered motor vehicle.
DWI - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Paul A. Sawatis, 40, of Snye, Que., with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving following an incident at 2:11 a.m. Saturday in the town of Massena. He was arrested on the charges shortly after 9 p.m. that night at Massena Memorial Hospital. Sawatis was also ticketed for drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on a highway, speeding and operation of a vehicle with illegally tinted windows.
AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - LOUISVILLE - Massena-based state police charged John W. Gray, 51, of Massena with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop at 7:05 p.m. Sunday on state Route 37 in the town of Louisville.
PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT - MASSENA - Massena-based state police investigated a one-vehicle property damage accident at 7:45 p.m. Sunday on County Route 38 near County Route 48 in the town of Massena. The vehicle was being operated by Theodore B. Blanchard, 68, of Massena.
PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT - CONSTABLE - Malone-based state police investigated a one-vehicle property damage accident at 12:10 a.m. Monday on Route 30 near Stewart Drive in the town of Constable. Troopers said the vehicle was being operated by James A. Wright, 58, of Constable.
