Lt. Gov. Bob Duffy is in Watertown today to visit Fort Drum and meet with my boss.

As we speak, Mr. Duffy is on his way into the Watertown Daily Times office to meet with John B. Johnson Jr., the publisher of this paper. He's being accompanied by Alexander Cochran, the chief D.C. lobbyist for the state.

The subject of the private meeting is Fort Drum and strategy to fight Base Realignment and Closure.

Mr. Duffy will then head on post. We'll have more on his visit later.
