Brian McGrath, a Democrat who unsuccessfully ran for the 122nd Assembly District in 2010 against Ken Blankenbush, emails to share a few tidbits about Amy Tresidder.
Ms. Tresidder is an Oswego County legislator looking to take on state Sen. Patty Ritchie, R-Heuvelton.
Mr. McGrath says that Ms. Tresidder was born and raised in DeKalb. She has many political ties in the north country: She is related to Fred Morrill, a St. Lawrence County legislator and the chief financial officer of the Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority. She is also related to Jennie Bacon, the Democratic elections commissioner in St. Lawrence County.
Ms. Tresidder was Mr. McGrath's Oswego County campaign chairwoman for his 2010 race.
"I plan to support her campaign as much as I can, including financially," Mr. McGrath says in an email. "She is smart, hard-working and a genuine advocate for improving the North Country."
We're still waiting to hear from Ms. Tresidder herself, but I'll update once I do get in touch with her (it's still early yet).
