Sarah Compo will soon take over as the spokeswoman for Sen. Patty Ritchie, R-Heuvelton.

Ms. Compo is the soon-to-be-former weekend anchor at Channel 7.

Jim Reagen, Mrs. Ritchie's current spokesman, is moving over to a more policy-oriented role.

It's a reflection of the changing roles since Brian Peck left for the office of Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush, and also a sign that the political season is upon us.

Ms. Compo starts April 1, Mr. Reagen said.
