Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush was the first of the state's legislative delegation to report his campaign finance figures.
Mr. Blankenbush, R-Black River, netted about $6,000, with $15,502 in expenditures and $9,456 in expenses.
His war chest going in to 2012, an election year, sits at $10,684.
The most serious potential challenger for Mr. Blankenbush's 122nd Assembly District seat, which includes parts of St. Lawrence, Jefferson and Oswego counties and all of Lewis County, took his name out of consideration.
Some big-name individual contributors include:
* Matt Doheny, the Republican congressional candidate who, gave $1,170.
* Jefferson County Republican Legislators Phil Reed, $100, James Nabywaniec, $100, and Barry Ormsby, $50.
* Lewis County Republican Legislator Rick Lucas, $60.
Sen. Joe Griffo has an off-cycle report into which I will delve shortly.
