The city manager of Ogdensburg is going to file suit against his employer, he said in a statement.
City manager Art Sciorra has been at war with Mayor Bill Nelson and Deputy Mayor Mike Morley over an investigation into a home at 819 Knox St., where a family was allowed to live rent- and tax-free for three years while the city poured taxpayer dollars into renovating it.
Mr. Sciorra said he did no wrong, but Messrs. Nelson and Morley want him out anyway; they reason that he was in charge of the department, so he's ultimately responsible for it.
I'm told that Justin Woods, the former planning department head, is also named in the lawsuit, with Messrs. Nelson and Morley and the city. Breach of contract, libel and slander are among the charges he's bringing, a source relays.
