A supporter of incumbent town supervisor Ronald Bertram says political chicanery is afoot.
Lisa Doan was driving by her family's property only to find her yard sign for Mr. Bertram, a Republican, sandwiched in between two other political yard signs, including the sign of Mr. Bertram's Nov. 8 opponent, Michele McQueer.
"Is this how these people operate?" Ms. Doan said in a letter to the editor. "Cram their signs overbearingly in front of others, as if the viewer won’t see how obnoxious this is and vote for them?"
Ah, St. Lawrence County.
Lewis County, too, had reports of vandalism to political signs, but that appeared to be just a bunch of stupid kids, and not a calculated effort.
