Rep. Bill Owens and Assemblywoman Addie Russell will come out to support the Democratic candidates for City Council in Ogdensburg on Oct. 29.
Politically speaking, Ogdensburg is in a state of chaos right now, with a long-time mayor battling for re-election while facing down the biggest scandal to hit the Maple City in his term.
One interesting thing about the event: Jack McGrath isn't on the list of dignitaries. Mr. McGrath is running for mayor against incumbent Bill Nelson, and it's sort of the conventional wisdom that Mr. McGrath is a Dem in disguise. But party lines, at least for fundraisers, are paramount here.
