The best goaltending in ECAC Hockey last weekend could be found in Cheel Arena.
Clarkson men’s goalie Paul Karpowich and Clarkson women’s goalie Erica Howe, each were named the Goaltender of the Week in ECAC Hockey’s weekly awards.
St. Lawrence University’s men were represented by forard Patrick Doherty, who was named the men’s Rookie of the Week.
Karpowich helped Clarkson’s men win two games against Sacred Heart, posting a shutout Friday night and finishing the weekend with a .961 save percentage and a 1.00 goals-against average. He also helped Clarkson kill 14 penalties.
Howe led the Clarkson women to a pair of wins over Syracuse, posting a 2.00 goals-against average and a .931 save percentage.
Doherty scored two goals, including a power-play goal, in SLU’s overtime loss to the Rochester Institute of Technology.
