The scary injury freshman defenseman Justin Baker suffered in Game 2 of St. Lawrence's ECAC quarterfinal series with Yale may linger into the 2011-12 season.
Baker is seeking a second opinion on the injury, which was initially ruled as a dislocated knee but has since been evaluated as a torn patella tendon and requires surgery. The rehabilitation process will likely last into next season and could jeopardize his sophomore campaign entirely.
St. Lawrence is welcoming at least four players to compliment the large freshman class it brought in last season. The Saints are also hoping to land up to three more by week's end. Here's who have signed so far:
Patrick Doherty (Forward, Born: 9/5/90, 6'1, 165 lbs.)
