A player from three different sports earned a Liberty League weekly award for Clarkson University.
Baseball player David Kinney was the conference co-performer of the week after batting .412 with four doubles, two home runs and five RBIs as Clarkson went 3-1 last week.
Pat Briggs earned the lacrosse co-defender of the week honor after holding Vassar to just four goals in his first collegiate start in net for the Golden Knights. He had a 3.70 goals against average and a .600 save percentage.
Finally, women’s lacrosse freshman Marissa Mastronardi was the Liberty League co-rookie of the week. She had four goals and five assists last week.
SUNY Potsdam’s goalie Pat Corbine was named the SUNYAC goalie of the week. He had 14 saves in Potsdam’s 8-7 win over SUNY Brockport. It snapped a four-game skid. Carly Richards, a SUNY Potsdam women’s lacrosse player, earned player of the week. She had six goals and two assists during the week and set the schools all-time scoring record at 165 points.
