Third period notes:

Goal SLU Kyle Essery

Goal Union kyle Bodie.

Eight minutes to play and SLU still down 4-1. Gotta pull off something like Clarkson last night.

Saints go on the PP

Joe Spadaccini will start in net for the Saints in the third period.

Second period impressions:

Saints just kind of fell apart after Wick went to the box for boarding. Welsh scored to break the tie on the power play and from there a couple bad turnovers led to Zajac's two scores. The second goal particularly frustrated Marsh who threw his hands up when the puck exchanged hands in the neutral zone.

Not a good end to the period and now the Saints may have dug themselves too deep a hole.

Second period notes:

Goal Union Zajac off a bad turnover.

Saints looked terrible on that last power play. Perhaps that third score was deflating. Really could have used one there.

Union penalty.

Zajac cores and it's 3-1.

Welsh beats Weninger on what looked like a bad shift change for SLU. Welsh's shot went five-hole.

Wick takes a boarding penalty.

Weninger hasn't seen a lot of action this period, but he's stopped what shots he's seen.

Penalty killed. Very even game tonight.

Union trip and SLU goes on its third PP.

Penalty killed. Union did hit a pipe.

The penalty is over and now SLU takes its third penalty

First period impressions:

St. Lawrence and Union skated pretty even in the first period and solid goaltending from Weninger and Kinkaid kept it at 1-1.

Union has looked sloppy at times, specifically in its defensive zone, where it has had numerous turnovers that could have resulted in goals.

Drewiske's goal was pretty impressive. Check the video below.

First period notes:

GOAL Union: Wayne Simpson scores from John Simpson. Penalty upcoming on Union.

GOAL SLU: Jake Drewiske with a sweet move through the crease, scores on Kinkaid.

Saints go on the PP. Baker crushed against the board.

Saints kill the penalty.

Weninger making a few nice stops in net on the PP.

Essery makes a great defensive play and gets called for tripping.

Looking like the Saints brought their good team tonight. Playing well with Union here in the first period.

Saints kill the penalty. Union had a great chance with short passes in front, but no goal.

K. Flanagan goes to the box for tripping.

Bad turnover in the defensive zone nearly leads to a SLU goal, but Kinkaid makes the stop.

Justin Pallos shaken up on a big check.

Both teams playing even through the opening few minutes.

Here we go.

It is senior night tonight. Seven will graduate.

There are some minor changes from last night's lineup, namely Matt Weninger getting the start in net tonight instead of Robby Moss.

Also, Nic Vangog is playing in place of Max Mobley.
