The Golden Knights finished a 3-0 season sweep of St. Lawrence University with a 2-1 win last night in Appleton Arena. It was Clarkson's first regular-season win in the building since 2007 and improved the Golden Knights to 4-1 in their last five games against SLU.
Clarkson also moved into seventh place in the conference standings, one point ahead of Quinnipiac. Clarkson had played one less game than the Bobcats prior to Tuesday's contest.
Clarkson now has, essentially, a five-point lead with eight points left to be earned for at least eighth place in the standings. Brown is only four points back, but if the teams finish tied Clarkson has the tiebreaker by virtue of a season sweep.
