Third period notes:

SLU chants echo through Appleton with 51.5 seconds to play. Yale has called time out.

Goal Yale Antoine Laganiere

Yale's picking up the pace as we near seven minutes.

Good crowd on hand has seen an awesome game. 10 minutes left.

Moss able to snare a puck on the goal line. Didn't cross, the officials say.

George Hughes was excellent on the PK and the Saints kill it off.

Bobby Torney goes to the box and Yale goes on the PP.

Well, the last time the Saints had a 3-1 lead heading into the third, Cornell scored twice and won in overtime.

Second period impressions:

That goal by Bogosian was phenomenal and set up by two great passes. Carey took it over in the neutral zone, fed Flanagan, who then made a great pass to Bogosian at the last moment. He buried it into the open net. Awesome play.

Saints are playing very well and rightfully get an ovation at the end of the period. Great, great game.

Second period notes:

Saints kill the peanlty.

GOAL Yale - Miller scored with three Saints blocking Moss' view.

Moss makes a great save, but SLU gets a penalty.

Carey's had some great open looks for SLU, but can't get it by Rondeau.

Saints go on the PP.

Saints have had two nice looks on breakaways but no third score.

This is one of the most fun games of the year so far. Lots of good skill and a clean game so far.

Saints continue the high intensity, but seem to be calming down slightly and settling into the game.

Yale gets only one shot on the power play thanks for a fantastic kill.

Logue picked up a penalty right at the end of the first period and will sit in the box for the first two minutes of the second.

First period impressions:

Easily the best St. Lawrence has played at home in a single period this season. They are dominating this game and scoring on their opportunities. Robby Moss continues to play at a high level in net, making nine saves in the period.

The energy is amazing on all four lines and St. Lawrence is clearly motivated to win this game.

Yale is getting plenty of shots, but can't figure out Moss quite yet.

Here's Pitsikoulis' Goal:

First period notes:

Moss continues to shine this game and the offense is giving him support. Good to see.

GOAL SLU - Pitsikoulis on a rebound.

Saints go on the PP.

Moss is seeing a lot of action, but then again Yale takes a ton of shots every game.

Just an excellent first period all around right now. High level of hockey being played tonight.

Moss looks awesome in net again tonight.

Lots of speed to this game and the Saints are matching everything the Bulldogs give them.

Saints have come on firing on all cylindars, very sharp early.
