The Golden Knights are preparing for what could be the most important stretch of games of the season.
Clarkson will play five games in nine days, beginning with a 7 p.m. home contest against Brown on Friday, followed by a game with No. 3 Yale on Saturday. On Tuesday Clarkson travel to Canton for a game against St. Lawrence University in Appleton Arena and then returns home next week to face No. 9 Union and No. 8 Rensselaer.
Friday's game has added importance because Clarkson has a 2-point lead over Brown for eighth place in the ECAC Hockey standings, which is the final spot that has any home-ice advantage. Should Clarkson beat the Bears, not only would it increase the lead to four points, it also would have the tie-breaker having swept the season series.
Coach George Roll discussed the upcoming stretch of games and also gave an update on various injuries:

I also had a more detailed conversation with assistant captain Jake Morley, an Ogdensburg native. He will be featured in the Feb. 18 edition of Clarkson Notes.
