First period impressions:
St. Lawrence played well, I thought, but just couldn't find the net. Robby Moss had some great saves on the power play and toward the end of the period.
The Saints will eventually score, but they can't keep fighting from behind every game and expect to win.
I think the energy has been excellent again tonight and the Saints are definitely getting the put in the zone and creating some excellent scoring opportunities. It's only a matter of time before they finally put one home.

First period notes:
More great chances, but Quinnipiac's Eric Hartzell is playing extremely well in net.
Carey lays a good hit — yes, Carey.

Saints are hanging tough but just haven't been able to find the net.
Plenty of good efforts but no score on the PP for SLU.
SLU on the PP.
Scott Zurevinski tips a shot in to make it 1-0 just 39 seconds in.
SLU head coach Joe Marsh is watching the game from the press box tonight. He is still feeling ill and apparently being behind the bench last night didn't help his recovery. Bob Prier managing the ice.

St. Lawrence goalie Matt Weninger has the flu and will sit out today's game, I'm told. I'm not sure if he felt sick yesterday and didn't tell anyone or thought he was good to go, but I'll ask after the game.
